Steven C. Kahn has practiced labor and employment law since 1969. For many years, he was an enforcement attorney with the National Labor Relations Board and then, on the state level, with the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commissions, which has jurisdiction over public employees.

Mr. Kahn has been responsible for a wide range of employment litigation in the private and public sectors, including, in particular, wrongful discharge, retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour and employee benefits.

At different times in his career, Mr. Kahn has represented management and individual employees in defending against, or pursuing, employment claims. He also has been active in providing mediation services in the federal sector.

Mr. Kahn co-authored The Legal Guide To Human Resources (LGHR), which has been described as “perhaps the most comprehensive, single-volume treatment of federal employment law” and is West Group’s leading publication in the human resources field. LGHR is available for purchase on Thomson West Publications.

Mr. Kahn graduated from Yale University cum laude in 1964 and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1969 following two years service in the Peace Corps in Latin America.
